Elizabeth Parsons was born in Yeovil, England. After early experience as a soprano in the Somerset Youth Choir, she read Music at Bath Spa University, receiving vocal training from Ian Comboy. During this time she was a member of the renowned Bath Camerata chamber choir (2002 Sainsbury's Adult Choir of the Year) directed by former King's Singer Nigel Perrin, and was asked to perform as a soloist in such works as Vaughan Williams' Mass in G Minor and the Wymondham Chants of Geoffrey Poole.
In 2005 Elizabeth appeared in the critically acclaimed performance of Filia in Carissimi's Historia de Jephte with the chamber choir and Baroque ensemble of Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, and has more recently given a series of recitals in England with the talented young accompanist Florian Markel. With their programme of European Romantic Lieder the duo received outstanding reviews, and invitations to return for another series of concerts in 2009.
Since 2002 Elizabeth has lived in Munich, where she works as a freelance musician and peripatetic vocal teacher, whilst continuing her own training and development as a singer with Ann-Katrin Naidu. She is a permanent member of the Munich Philharmonic choir, and a singer with the Gärtnerplatz Theater. As a versatile young musician she also performs with the up-and-coming a cappella swing, jazz and pop group Bar–nineteen.
